Selma Ann "Sally" Weinstein (1925 - 2020)
Born and raised in Philadelphia, Sally was a resident of Clayton for 46 years before moving to Malaga in 1988. She was the owner and operator of Sally’s Outlet in Clayton for 25+ years until her retirement in 1988. Her family, especially her grandchildren, were her life!
Emile E Baptiste (1932-2020)
Emile was a lifelong resident of Clayton. He graduated in 1950 from Clayton High School and enlisted in the United States Air Force where he proudly served his country during the Korean War as an Airman First Class. Emile then returned home to Clayton, NJ to support the family business, Emile A. Baptiste, Inc., a wholesale flower grower. Emile was a hardworking man who loved anything outside, especially gardening. He was meticulous about his yard, and anyone who passed his corner property would take note of how immaculate the flowers and grass were kept.
Charles Merrick Green, Jr (1931-2019)
As a founding member of the Clayton Historical Committee, Charles was the member that knew everyone and remembered everything about them. He also resided at Silver Lake for several years.
Mildred Theresa Ann "Millie" Dubbs (1944 – 2019)
born in Philadelphia, but raised in Clayton, NJ, Millie was best known as a local historian, especially the history of Clayton, and was a longtime member of the Clayton Historic Preservation Society.
Phyllis Gallucci (1930 – 2019)
born in Clayton, NJ and a lover of music early on, Phyllis started studying piano at age 5 and was organist for Clayton United Methodist Church as an adult. She was also a member of the Clayton Historical Preservation Society.
