On June 13th 2009 at Clayton Day in Little Ease Park Clayton the Clayton Historic Preservation Inc. with the support of local Businesses and individuals will present Wheaton Arts Volunteer Glassblowers from Noon to 5:00. They will be demonstrating the art of hand blown glassmaking continuously all day. Local area residents Jim Engleman, Jeff Vanaman, and Frank Stubbins will demonstrate and discuss what is involved in handblowing beautiful glass bowls, pitchers and other items the way they were done over hundred years ago here in Clayton. There will also be a display on the history of glassblowing, which as been a tradition in Clayton and the surrounding area for over a hundred of years, in the Clayton Historic Museum at the entrance to the park.    

At the Clayton Historical Museum for month of June, the displays will be available for viewing during the museum hours.  All are invited to come out and share in the rich history of Clayton and Glassblowing.

 Clayton Day Wheaton Arts Volunteer Glassblowers Supporter 

Clayton Historic Preservation is looking for Business and Individual supporters to help offset the cost of having the Wheaton Arts Volunteer Glassblowers attend Clayton Day. All supporters will get their Business or name displayed on Clayton Day outside the museum on a sign. They will also be in an article in our next newsletter and in a booklet handed out at Clayton Day.

The support designations are:
            Gold Supporter - $50
            Silver Supporter - $25
            Bronze Supporter - $10
            Individual Supporter - $5
